Sonia of Button Bridal specialises in creating unrepeatable keepsakes, personal to each client. She encourages her clients to incorporate sentimental heirlooms of their own to make each piece truly unique to them.
Sonia loves vintage buttons & brooches and the way they contribute to the unique character of her creations. It all started with her grandmother's button tin, making bouquets for her own wedding was a great opportunity to harness those happy memories of playing with all those buttons as a little girl, and to make her own wedding very personal. Both families contributed to the cause too, and her bridesmaids had gifts included within the bouquets with brooches they could wear for life. She also wanted to distinguish the VIP's on the day and so designed them each a personal buttonhole that reflected their character. This is why she particularly loves the personal touch, when a Bride can supply her with an impression of the characters for their special friends and family for whom she is to make pieces. These become even more special when a Bride gives her buttons or brooches of sentimental value to her or the eventual owner, for inclusion in the finished piece.

After support from the ladies at the O Zone in Brighton, who fell in love with her bouquet when she took it with her to a dress fitting, combined with a wonderful reaction from guests at her wedding she was encouraged to make pieces for others and so Button Bridal was born.
